Around late 40's and early 50's, C.S. Lewis wrote one of the best fantasy novel series of all time, The Chronicles of Narnia. Originally published in London in the 50's, Narnia remains one of most celebrated classic children's literature.

Just like most children fantasy stories, the stories of these novels deeply involves magic, mythical creatures, witch, knighthood, and battle between good versus evil. Narnia is the name of the magical realm in this chronicles, where animals talk, ogres and centaurs exist, and evil forces try to dominate it. To save that magical world, some kids from the real world are called and transported by Aslan the great lion as the chosen ones to save the realm of Narnia.

The Magician's Nephew explores the origins of Narnia. Here we can learn the creation of Narnia by Aslan and the coming of evil elements to that world. Digory Kirke is the nephew of the magician and after obtaining his uncle's magic ring, he and Polly Plummer his friend plunges into different realms, and in those adventure they encounter the White Witch, Jadis.
