The Great Gatsby is an amazing novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It is the third book by this American writer and initially after its publication it did not draw much interest. However, soon after the author’s death, it started to get attention from readers and critics and today, this novel is considered as one of the greatest classics in American literature.

The story takes place during the Roaring Twenties in the USA and this book clearly exemplifies the Jazz Age. It is summer of 1922. Readers will follow the story through the perspective of Nick Carraway, who has served his country in World War I and is a Yale graduate too. He gets a job in New York and finds himself a small house on Long Island. There he meets Jay Gatsby, a wealthy mysterious man who likes to throw grand parties. Nick will also take readers to witness the romantic story of how the rich Gatsby pursue his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan.

It's also a love story, of sorts, the narrative of Gatsby's quixotic passion for Daisy Buchanan ... They fall in love, but while Gatsby serves overseas, Daisy marries the brutal, bullying, but extremely rich Tom Buchanan. After the war, Gatsby devotes himself blindly to the pursuit of wealth by whatever means—and to the pursuit of Daisy, which amounts to the same thing ...
