*Brief introduction to Nikki Sixx's The Heroin Diaries*
The Heroin Diaries is probably most unique memoirs of an addict ever published. Through the diary entries, Nikki Sixx bluntly opens up the mess and craziness he had in a haze of heroin and cocaine. Supplemented with interviews with the people around him when he was wasted, the book gives a rounded view about how out of control the situations were.
The diary entries were from the days when Mötley Crüe was at the top of their fame. Being a famous and successful musician, Nikki Sixx was surrounded by groupies, fans, dealers, and also other musicians. Some of those people also had problems with drugs and this condition sometimes dragged him further into the madness. In his struggle with addiction, Nikki revealed the joy and euphoria he had. However, there were also a lot of lower and darker times, with seemingly no light at all.
