Download The Price of Salt PDF eBookFirst published in 1952, The Price of Salt is a romance novel by American writer Patricia Highsmith (a.k.a. Claire Morgan). Upon its first publication, the novel was quite a controversy because it presented a lesbian romance. More than that, because the book offered the possibility of a happier ending, it stood out from the stereotypical representation of lesbians in popular or professional literature and also from most works in lesbian/gay literature. Later on, the book was republished under the title Carol and a film adaptation was produced using that title too.
*Brief introduction to Carol: The Price of Salt*
